My Collection

You'll not need a trained eye to notice the difference in the quality of some of the photgraphs herein! Put simply I'm learning all the time and hopefully improving too. At the start of my DSLR ownership I used 'idiot mode' and pointed it at everything and anything safe in the knowledge Photoshop would 'sort it out' later. How wrong was I ?

I've progressed, not immensely, but 'idiot mode' is not my preferred method of shooting anymore and I'm a little more selective in my subject material. I doubt I'll ever take an hour choosing and setting up a shot, despite the results that sort of preparation delivers.

My camera is a well loved and much used Canon EOS 300 and my lens of choice a Sigma 30mm. Ok, so not great for big shots of rooms but I love the effect of not everything being in focus. At some point I'll add another Sigma lens to my collection, a 10-20mm wide angle (the preferred weapon of choice of a majority of my companions) but for now I intend to learn to walk before I start running.
