Prison II
On the outskirts of Warsaw sits a sleepy little town, at its heart lies an
abandoned prison. Originally this building was a monastery, but when the
Soviets moved into Poland the Monks were replaced with political prisoners.
It was redesigned to hold 600 inmates although at any one time you would have found at least double that residing behind its walls.
When the Iron Curtain fell the prison kept on being a prison right up until 2006 when someone somewhere cried “human rights” and the inmates had to be moved to more spacious surroundings.
