Severalls

I can report that there is a 3 'O' Clock in the morning on a Sunday!

Having collected a very jaded Midnight Runner we headed for Colchester.

On arrival we met up with a large contingency of likeminded 28DL members and headed in.

I'm a little lost for words, in truth I had no idea the site would be as big as it was. I want to rant about Severalls, it's been at the top of my wishlist for as long as I can remember but I can't. If I'm honest I was expecting a giant Ebbas or Harperbury with lots of flotsam and jetsom strewn all over, disapointingly the buildings were pretty much empty apart from the odd item. The buildings themselves were in good condition, the view from the water tower breathtaking and access to the clock tower an adventure in itself. As I've already said, Severalls lacked the details that the other hospitals/asylums I've visited had, but I'm still stoked I went.

I think a return visit is in order as there is still so much to see.
