st peters convent

Visited on a Sunday with Flat4, Sectionate, Lillimouse and Rigsby, I mention them by name as these 'seasoned' explorers had kindly agreed to let me tag along with them for the day. On occasions I feel a certain reverence in some places and this was one of them (my catholic upbringing kicking in perhaps?). Anyway, access was straightforward and within seconds we were in the first building. Sadly it appeared as if the entire site had been ransacked by both 'yoof' and 'copper removers'. My favorite find was an airing cupboard, it was full of neatly laundered and pressed tea towels and bed sheets, sadly no picture due to embarrasing camera battery death.

The highlight of the vist was leaving, with everything packed away in my rucksack and with my companions looking on I placed my right hand on the top of the fence and launched myself over the top. My heels caught the fence and down I went onto the pavement flat on my back. Much giggling and sniggering could be heard from the other side of the fence. The rest of the team followed without incident, untill Lillimouse tried bringing a huge bush with her over the fence........ more smothered chuckles from the guys!!
